I think this phone is great. I have adapted to the touch screen and its keyboard. Everything about this phone suites me wonderfully. The only thing I would like to see is an automatic 'on' setting for the security password feature.

This phone has all I need in a phone and more! I've got my phone, my music and my camera all in one! The phone is awesome! The music player is great! And the camera...man oh man! Who could ask for a better phone than this one! Thank you LG for providing Verizon with such an awesome phone! I can't imagine wanting for another phone for quite some time!

I think this phone rocks, i had a moto and i had nothing but problems with it, this phone has every thing that you could want in a phone and more, i was worried about the texting with the full keyboard but it is very easy i just love it. I was about time that verison came out with a phone that can take on the every famous IPhone, and in my eyes this is 10 times better.

I wasn't sure I wanted to sink 2 bills into a cellphone but many of the current Verizon phones have had a myriad of issues, especially the sliders which many independant dealers refuse to carry. I read a great review in PC mag and decided to risk it. THIS PHONE IS AWESOME! It was so user friendly I didn't even crack my user book. The camera takes awesome pics, it supports 8GB of memory for tons of songs and the touch feature feels great! I love the QWERTY keyboard that pops up when you tilt the phone from portrait to landscape.....and no opening and shutting the phone to text! Verizon finally picked a winner - and so did I!

At first, I was going to cancel my service with Verizon because they didn't have any phones that appealed to my eyes then 2 weeks later the dare came out. It is user friendly, but there is one problem I have had with it. I contacted Verizon and they had no clue and I called lg and they told me that I need to take back that phone because it is not updated correctly. The problem I am having is the customizing the Shortcut menu, it lets me drag the aps but it doesnt allow me to drag them back. So if anybody else is having the same issue go to verizon.

I currently own an enV. It's orange, and I love it. Unfortunately, I dropped it in a Slip 'n Slide over the weekend and need a new phone. I am DEFINITELY getting the Dare, and LG is an excellent manufacturer. If only their phones were waterproof...jk i needed a new phone anyway.

I've tried quite a few phones with verizon, and this is probably the most interesting phones of all of them. With all the new technology and with a camera of 3.2 it is my oppinion it is the best phone that verizon has on the market right now!

This is the worst phone to be put up against the iPhone, good thing it went to all the Verizon customers, its not good enough to go to all the other providers, so far the only phone that beat the iPhone is the Samsung Instinct. The next phone anywhere near beating the iPhone is the Vu, but not even that comes anywhere close to it. DONT buy the Lg Dare.

I am not sure what phone the negative people were playing with, but it certainly wasn't the Dare. I have owned this phone since late June, and it is spectacular. I have not had one single issue with it locking up, and I have used every single feature repeatedly. As a matter of fact, i am listening to its MP3 player thru computer speakers right now. The touch screen is sensitive and responsive, the MP3 is more than capable, the camera is excellent. This is NOT meant to be compared to an iPhone, you cannot compare a feature phone to a smart phone - its pointless. As a feature phone, its about the best out there.

I love ALMOST everything about this phone except for the playback of the music. The phone (despite what an LG rep told me) plays the music back alphabetically rather than in album track order. It is something that MUST be fixed to make this a credible music phone. Aside from that, the phone is wonderful. Call quality is great, touch screen is responsive, and it is otherwise feature-packed. I love that the browser works in both portrait and landscape mode and love the zoom feature on the browser is very nice. Ditto the VZ Navigator being available portrait or landscape ... great for increasing the screen size while driving. LG: Nice job ... just PLEASE fix the music playback order issue!

I would really like this phone if it had WiFi circuitry. That's the only thing keeping it from being the top phone on the market. Right now it's the HTC Diamond, then the iPhone 3G. What happened to WiFi? You might as well come out with the LG Dare 2 with WiFi.

Haven't had the phone long but everything about it puts it as the best non smartphone Verizon has. So much is customizable on here, the screen quality is very good and the sound blows you away for the size of the phone. The actual phone quality itself is outstanding as well. The problem I'm having is with the typing/texting on the phone. You can't do it without looking and the keyboard is rather small. Also, I didn't see like a word option except when you're using the keypad style. I came from the smart Blackberry Pearl and I'm having trouble adjusting. I recommend trying out the typing on here before purchasing. All in all though, great phone and definitely a lot of good features.

anyone who says not to buy this phone is probably just jealous. I bought this phone a few days ago and so far I absolutely LOVE IT! It's so much fun and it looks amazing. The pictures you see online of the phone don't even do it justice. It's much more sleek in real life. I've had several phones in the past, and LG is definitely the best brand I've had. The only complaint I have is that sometimes the websites on Mobile Web don't load properly, or just load slowly. But it doesn't bother me too much, because that's what computers are for. I mostly just call and text with it (I love the texting on this phone, too. the qwerty keyboard works the best for me) long story short, THIS PHONE ROCKS!

THIS PHONE IS AMAZING!!!... dont listen to people who say this phone has a learning curve because it only takes A DAY OR TWO to get acquainted with the full touch. Also, once u get the phone... calibrate the touch screen with a toothpick for super-accurate touch qwerty typing!!!... Overall... This phone is great!... I came from the piece of crap glyde... WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! WAY TO GO LG!!!

The only negative thing I can say about this phone, is about the text messaging. It is not hard to text, it just does not seem to provide the same response as buttons do. It takes me much longer to text now than with my previous phone, the LG EnV. Other than the difficulty with text messaging, this phone is beautiful. The UI is awesome, and the camera is crystal clear. Everything is amazing, except text messaging.

phone should offer an option to make a key lock function and phone function share the same button. this phone does not have a simple phone lock option. it has a simple button for a key lock but not a phone lock. phone lock requires going through a series of menus. LG..can this be done and sent as an update?

Great phone, there are only a few problems - all software related. 1. No full screen video 2. Alphabetical song listing 3. 2,000 song limit Those are the major flaws with the phone, they can all be fixed I just don't understand why lg refuses to put out an update to address them... Other than that this is an amazing phone, definitely recommend.

My phone will only save 50 sent text messages and 200 received text messages. I talked to a rep at Verizon and they said if I purchased more memory that would solve the problem------NOT! Anyone else have this problem? Also, I would like it better if text messaging kept a continual log of the conversation instead of going into your inbox or sent file back and forth.

This is a really awesome phone. Everything is simple to learn and use and has a very Mac-ish touch to it with it's creative, fun and easy interface. The only negative I have about it is using the touch screen to text. Sometime it's really difficult to hit the right keys. Plus, I have a protective cover around it, so I can't reach certain corner areas inside the texting box when I want to move my cursor. Andddd that can be frustrating. Other than that, overall amazing phone!

It is a nice phone and I find it easy to use, however it irks me to no end that you have to pay a monthly fee for most apps through Verizon. The iPhone offers a one-time purchase through iTunes, and some apps are even free. Also, it doesn't sync to Mac seamlessly. For these reasons I pretty much only use the Dare for calling, texting and pix messaging - I'm glad I got it for free, otherwise I'd be pretty irritated. I lean on my iPod Touch for everything else.
